Anaheim

Sorry for the lack of updates.  Squeezing in some typing time out here - coordinated with an internet connection - has been trickier than I expected!

We arrived in Anaheim on Tuesday afternoon.  LA is smoggy.  If I didn't know any better, I would say that it was foggy... but it's not fog, unfortunately.  Later in the mornings, the sun does burn through (and gets intensely hot), but the sky has never really "cleared" - it's always a milky white.  If you don't look up and think about the air you're wading through, it's a pretty place.

The conference is massive, with sessions and activities spread throughout 40 hotels plus the massive Anaheim Convention Center.  They have a great shuttle bus system running from venue to venue, but coordinating departure and arrival times has been a little tricky.  Technically, everything is very close, but getting there can be difficult (and squeezing in a meal is darn near impossible - it was about 7pm yesterday before the lack of breakfast or lunch caught up to me).

I'll be filling in with details on some of the sessions I have been attending soon.  Some have been very interesting and some have been sorely misrepresented in the program materials to be something other than what they turned out to be.
